Strategic communications planning and execution for brands, organizations and individuals. Rebecca will work with the client to define communications goals (e.g.: boosting visibility, CEO profiling, funding rounds, etc) which align with the company’s vision and purpose, before embarking on a dedicated communications campaign designed to achieve these aims. Depending on the scope, this could involve deliverables such as media coverage, brand positioning, copywriting, marketing material creation, partnership opportunities, media briefings or event planning.
This work can be done to support the existing communications team or Rebecca can also act as a fractional Chief Communications Officer to oversee and execute all communications needs.

Rebecca can work with clients to provide written assets such as website copy, press releases, reports, op-eds, articles or social media posts. At a time when many teams are at capacity but need a regular stream of content, this approach ensures consistent, thoughtful marketing materials which are timely, informative and engaging.
-
A review of the client’s communications assets, from website, marketing materials and social media to online reviews and press coverage. This audit is specifically undertaken to identify potential communications and marketing weaknesses which could be hampering growth or causing confusion with the target audience, such as mixed messages, negative press or outdated or inaccurate information. Clear recommendations are subsequently provided on how to troubleshoot these issues, while also strengthening existing communications channels.

Every individual who speaks to the media on a company’s behalf should be media trained. This is to ensure that messaging is clear, consistent and concise, and that the interviewee presents themselves and the company in the best possible light. Rebecca will work with individuals to instill key points and teach interview techniques, while also making adjustments to elements such as pace, body language and tone where required. Mock interviews will be conducted and, if budget allows, these can also include a videographer so interviews can be recorded and simulate on-air press appearances.

Every company needs a clear ‘elevator pitch’ to explain the what, who, how and why of their existence. Rebecca works with clients to establish a clear brand identity, incorporating everything from their purpose, people and ethos to the ways they execute this mission on a daily basis. This is done by identifying key messages, tone of voice, market positioning and brand ‘rules’, while also working with senior leadership to designate specific spokespeople for certain topics or areas of expertise.
-
Internal communications needs vary from company to company, with some requiring a robust and engaging content program showcasing the work of each team, while others may focus only on HR or business critical updates. Rebecca can work with business leaders to provide relevant and timely internal communications assets, while also helping to build a positive and proactive company culture via methods such as company newsletters, internal emails, intranet management, focus groups, employee surveys or workshops.
-
Many insurers and boards will require a tailored crisis plan to be drafted for potential scenarios relevant to the business in question, such as accidents in the workplace or contamination at a manufacturing facility. Rebecca can work with business leaders to proactively plan for future issues, creating personalized plans for likely scenarios with draft statements, media training and stakeholder management tactics. If and when a crisis occurs, Rebecca will work in real time with decision makers to advise on an urgent strategic communications plan and ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed and assured.
